STOICISM presented in the Minerals Engineering Conference (MEC2014) in Poland
The Minerals Engineering Conference, organized by the Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland will take place from 15th to 18th of September 2014 in Siedlce, Poland. The conference covers areas like analytical techniques and applied mineralogy.
Prof H.J. Glass from the University of Exeter, gave a presentation entitled “Unlocking value through integrated process analysis” as part of the technical sessions of the event. His contribution discusses the mining value chain and its key steps: assessment, design, development of a mine to maximise yield from the extracted raw materials through the processing stages. The examples provide examples from various raw materials such as copper and clay mining and processing.
This event brings together scientists, researcher and industry with an interest in optimising the primary identification, extraction and processing stages and ultimately to improve the overall performance of raw materials for final applications.
